I have lived in Wilmington for almost 30 years in now and have been riding for 4 years. I ride a 2007 Dyna Super Glide Custom. I have been enjoying every minute of riding. I got the urge to ride my own bike after my husband bought his first bike. I have been a member of our chapter for those same 4 years and have met some of the best people and taken some great rides. I look forward to staying involved and continuing to watch the chapter grow.
As we are welcoming 2016, I am excited and honored to be the secretary of our chapter. I fell in love with motorcycles at the age of thirteen and spent most of my years dreaming about the day I would have my own and be a part of a group. I thought about the people I would meet and the adventures I would go on. So, here I am, right smack dab in the beginning of my dream of which you are all a part of. I joined our group a year ago and have finally reached 10,000+ riding miles. Most of you may recognize my 2012 Heritage Softail by my riding companion, Ted. I enjoy riding with him as he brings smiles and laughter to people that see me in my travels. People will often ask to take pictures with him, and I document many of my events by taking photos of what we are doing. Silly maybe, but I’ve had plenty of years of seriousness and responsibility, and now I just want to have fun! My name is unusual. It is pronounced Bri –na although I don’t expect everyone to remember it. My friends call me “B” or “Mama B” because I was the neighborhood Mom. I have three grandkids, three birth children and a load of others that just happen to come my way. Since I don’t know many of you, it will be helpful when you check in, if you tell me your name. I will be asking for volunteers to help me at the check-in table. If I ask, I hope you say “Yes”, or feel free to volunteer! So, here’s to 2016!! May it bring you adventure and I hope that you ride in peace and joy!

I started riding motorcycles in the early seventies. My first three bikes were Hondas. Then my wife, Vicki made me buy a Harley. Presently, I ride a red 2007 Screamin’ Eagle Road King. I joined my first H.O.G. chapter in 1998 where I served in several positions including Director. In 2009, I retired after 37 years in education. In 2010, Vicki and I left the state of New Jersey to get away from the cold and relocated in Leland, in a community called Brunswick Forest. Moving to NC was a great choice. I enjoy playing tennis, pickle ball, golf, bowling, shag dancing and eating out. In my spare time I am a professional musician with the Baby Boomer Band and a DJ.

Almost 4 years ago I was at my mom and step-dad's house visiting. My step-dad has a Harley Davidson Deuce. He offered to let me ride the bike down the road a mile or so. This would be the first time I had my butt on anyone with less than four wheels since I was 15. I was immediately hooked. Afte overcoming the initial resistance set forth by my wife, I took the Motorcycle Safety Foundation class at Cape Fear and got my M on my driver's license. Four months and three rentals later, I finally opt for a 2009 Harley Davidson Road King Classic. Six months later, I was chosen/elected/conscripted/coerced into doing the newsletter for our HOG chapter. Today, I ride a 2013 Road King CVO, have since sold my car, and am now the technology officer of our HOG chapter. I have not only had a great amount of fun riding with you guys, but I also look forward to riding even more! I couldn't ask to be in a better club!
